"I started my journey as part-time administrator for the Volunteer Centre in the Ribble Valley. After two years I divided my part-time hours between the Volunteer Centre and the NLDC Project, aiming to increase the number of new training opportunities throughout deprived areas of Hyndburn. Following this I became Development Officer for the Volunteer Centre, specialising in promoting Good Practices and Policies throughout Ribble Valley Organisations that recruited volunteers.

November 2006 saw the launch of the Hyndburn Learning Exchange, and this is where my journey has brought me to date. I am currently working as Learning Co-Ordinator for the project where it is our aim to support organisations to extend their training to other organisations to enable the Voluntary and Community Sector to share skills and knowledge"
